State Chief Privacy Office
By Executive Order 01.01.2021.10, the State Chief Privacy Officer was created to supervise and direct the collection and use of personally identifiable information by units of State government under the supervision and direction of the Governor (“State Units”). The SCPO is responsible for developing and managing State information privacy policies, requirements, and maintaining inventories of systems containing personally identifiable information held by the State. The SCPO is further responsible for overseeing Privacy Impact Assessments, assisting State Units with drafting legal agreements, responding to audits, and reducing the amount of personally identifiable information used and maintained by the State.
